Hi my name is Ellen!
I am currently studying law at University and loving it! Besides studying, which at times seems to take over, I am also passionate about fitness, fashion, and everything in between. I am a typical girly at heart and probably an important thing to know about me is that you can't bring a cookie near me and expect it to survive the experience...
Alongside all of those, (what more??), I own a horse and a rabbit whom I love dearly if you can't already tell by my Instagram feed...
This blog has been created as a way of sharing my knowledge of fitness (although I am in no way an expert) and healthy food. My eating is principally based on the Clean and Lean diet with a few tweaks here and there in order to accommodate for my lifestyle. I want to show you that you don't need to have a lot of money to achieve your goals (I live on a student budget) or a lot of time (I am a full time law student).
This blog will also serve as a platform to share with you daily bits and pieces from my day to day life mostly with a fashion focus. I previously had my own fashion blog before beginning my fitness journey which slowly got left behind and so Squat in style is also my return into the world of fashion blogging!
My fitness story:
I have never really had a problem with my weight as such and, as most teenage girls, believed the answer lay in indulging and then not eating out of guilt... The main reason that this could never have worked out for me is due to my love for food. Food could potentially be seen as dictating most of my life (sad but kinda true). I am unable to resist eating and need to eat often in order to keep my terrible stomach aches at bay. I have always had problems with my digestive system whereby I would often get stomach aches up to 5 times a day with A LOT of bloating involved (not attractive at all by the way). I didn't completely understand what healthy really meant until I met my boyfriend; my new found knowledge regarding fitness and food has revolutionised my life and I can now proudly say that I live a healthy life with a few indulgences which are just as important as the healthy part!
